Notes The mapping software used is a combination of MySQL, PHP5 and SVG (Scaleable Vector Graphics). SVG is a relatively new WWW standard and is not natively supported by all browsers. For Internet Explorer, a special viewer, available from Adobe is needed to display SVG. This is the most SVG compliant solution and is recommended. Other browsers generally support a subset of SVG, although the situation is improving. Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome have sufficient support to work with the mapping programme. These browsers also allow the page to be enlarged, though they do not allow zooming or panning of the SVG map.
